My sister Karen and I are close, sometimes in spite of ourselves. We are less than two years apart in age. I always like to say, to myself, “she is slightly younger and I am slightly wiser.” She vehemently disagrees, and should. Our contentiousness is rooted in our stubbornness, quick minds and a need to always be out ahead of the curve, and of course, tell one another about it.
We do share one great love though and that is for her kids. Tonight I present to you her son Ben, a unique and fabulous person who makes my life bigger and better every single time I even think about him:
Thanks Benny! I love you.
